Does anyone here regret working in finance?

I (32/M) have 6 years experience at a large broker (was laid off late last year). Along with my BBA in finance, I have 4 finra licenses and a python portfolio. I’d be lying if I said I don’t have regrets pursuing this field. I hate finance outside the subject matter of trading and can’t stand the elitist dude-bro attitude of hiring managers/recruiters. I’m a non-traditional applicant, and it seems as if everywhere in the industry look down on applicants like myself (graduated late due to a plethora of personal/family issues). Also doesn’t help that I have a foreign sounding name in a southern state, even though I was literally born and raised here. I pretty much have to go back to school for my masters even though I’m perfectly qualified to do what the roles I apply to ask. Around 1,000 applications, tons of interviews just to be sitting here with 0 offer is infuriating to say the least.

I don’t mean to sound as if I’m getting on my soapbox to complain just wanted to give my 2 cents and see if anyone in similar positions as myself feels the same way?
