Are people really chasing yall down the street to ask which fragrance you’re wearing? Are compliments from strangers really a thing?

I’ve never been complimented on my perfume by a stranger. Maybe it’s cultural, but whenever I see a perfume influencer saying “omygush I get tons of compliments on this perfume, 2-3 times a day if I wear it all day, literally a woman chased me down the street to tell me how good I smell” and I’m like in what universe does this happen?? Please share your experiences if this is actually a thing that happened to you and what perfume you wore to trigger such a response 🙌🏽
