Weird mechanic thing happened in one of tonight's games.

In today's episode, I believe it's s22e86, during first question, they're at the podium, the question is read, and the first person rings in and gives the #2 answer. They give the other person at the podium the chance to do better, as always, and she does, she gives the #1. Yet the game/judges/whoever gave the round to the person who gave the #2 answer. What happened there? The person who gave the #1 should have been given control. Thankfully the other family were good sports, passed, and gave the round to the person who got #1 but why was the round not given to the person who said the #1 answer in the first place? Question was about "something you don't want to find out is older than you thought."
