Fallout New Vegas feels complicated

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I started with fallout 4, which I really like, and I tried 76, which I still don’t like. I wanted to try out New Vegas since all I ever hear is that it’s the absolute best. I really like the feel of the weapons, and a lot of how the HUD is. The only thing, weapon and armor “condition” healing, karma, and where to go feels really complicated, and I don’t know if it’s just me. It’s probably just because fallout 4 feels a little simplified.
