Need convincing for FN Scar15p

Ive been eyeing the 15p for a while now...my local gun store has one at a pretty steep price (over $3k). Money aside, i just cant bring myself to drop the coin on it do to the ballistics. Any 15p owners can share or make a good argument for buying one? If i dont get this im probably looking at a 4 inch blued colt python (i know 2 completely different firearms), but before i do i would like opinions. Thanks.
