Why use a Desktop/Mobile Wallet like Exodus ?General Question (Exodus)

Since Cold Wallets are way more secure (so it written), why use a 'Desktop/Mobile Wallet' like Exodus ?? --- just reading some of the post where peeps are loosing their crypto is unnerving to me.
