Is the Latest Evernote Version a Game-Changer Between New and Old PCs?
Hey guys, have you noticed how the latest version of Evernote for Windows (you know, the one with the annoying "/command" prompts) feels drastically different depending on whether you're using it on a recent PC vs an older one? Setting aside a few user experience quirks, it's like night and day. On the latest machines, it runs super smoothly, responds quickly, and can handle a bunch of notes in bulk operations without breaking a sweat, under 100 notes. But throw it onto an old Windows 10-based PC from like five years ago, and watch the GPU (not the CPU) usage skyrocket to 100%, freezing windows and killing responsiveness for minutes at a time. It's practically unusable, which is a bummer because back in its heyday, I used Evernote on this machine every day without a hitch. It seems the current version is really GPU-intensive, making it a nightmare on older machines with less powerful GPUs.
