Eve FW Struggles

I've been doing faction warfare for a little while now and got some of the basics of brawling down but can't seem to do anything against scram kiters and kiters in general. I've been playing mostly brawly ships and really struggle to fight against these kinds of players. I've tried scram kiting and kiting myself but don't seem to have much success. I just get out fought by better kiting players and I'm starting to lose motivation in actually playing the game. I'm wondering if there are any sources that are actually decent at teaching me how to either pick my fights better or to try and improve.

but they are either outdated, less focused on solo PVP or behind a pay wall. I've done a fair amount of searching around but can't find much except for these. I'm surprised there's no YouTube series based on a fight with each ship based around a single frigate that explains matchup.

I'm at a bit of a loss how I can genuinely improve from 0. This mainly comes from a new hate of scram kiting, fuckers seem to maintain 6k range despite being webbed, scrammed and with my afterburners on heat. Yet when I try to do it I just mess up constantly with no idea on how to properly improve.
