Resource advice and opinions needed.
I work with a large team of estheticians (300+), and one of the most common requests I get is for resources that essentially “spoon-feed” information. While our menu isn’t extensive, we do carry two different product lines, and the team often asks for guidance on deciding which service is best for specific skin concerns. For example, if we have two “hydrating facials,” they want a clear way to determine which one is better suited for their client.
We already provide plenty of product education, service resources, and consultation tools. However, we can’t provide exact recommendations because we aren’t seeing their clients firsthand. To make the best recommendations, thorough consultations are essential. While we do have example treatment plans for major concerns like acne, anti-aging, and brightening, we don’t have examples for every single scenario.
Outside of creating hundreds of detailed treatment plans, what strategies could make this information more digestible for newer estheticians? Additionally, how can I encourage them to engage more actively with product knowledge? I want them to be more engaged with product knowledge because understanding the products and their formulations makes service decisions much easier.
