Environmental careers
Hi everyone! I am a psychology major with a minor in environmental studies. And I'm currently trying to find my "dream job", my passion!! To make a long story short, my parents put a lot of pressure on me to be a therapist, as I was theirs growing up. However, I have always wanted to work in the environment and work with animals. I am not saying I'd like to plant trees for a living, because that's just not entirely me, coodos to those who do! It's too late to find a new major, aka that's why I have my minor! I've talked to family and friends and they've said you don't necessarily NEED to get a job correlated to your major, however it helps obviously. What are some careers that I could pursue? Here are some requirements:
Needs to be surrounded by people Needs to actively help environment and wildlife Allows me to help others and influence their lives Somewhat of a good salary to allow me to live Achieving something. (I know so varied) Somewhere that I could love (I love the mountains, water, ocean, animals, wildlife, greenery, trees, but also close enough to go shopping, get groceries, allow me to travel between states)
Please help!! 🩷
