Does anyone enjoy their job?

I see posts mostly about how much people hate their jobs and how this field is bad and it’s making me second guess my choice. I want to do field work and feel proud about my job, like do something to help the environment. Consulting doesn’t sound like what I’d enjoy but it’s the #1 thing people recommend, am I just in the wrong major?
