The lands between is a complete shithole and is a literal demon of its former self. There is literally not a single good thing going on in that entire continent.

Limgrave you THINK is beautiful at first but step 3 feet outside the first step and you see people being crucified. Caelid we all already know about. Literally a disgusting place to even look at and a burning 6ft wall somehow keeping all of that from spreading is nothing short of a miracle. Liurnia is literally SINKING INTO A LAKE OF ROT and will inevitably infect the entire continent because there wont be people to contain it there like they did caelid, not even mentioning the village of frenzied people just suffering. The Weeping Peninsula is full of demi humans killing anyone they see on top of ANOTHER frenzied village. Mt. Gelmir has nasty ass rykard and people who like fucking him for some reason, not even counting the FREAKS you see in that hell hole and half of it is in lava anyway. The Atlus Plateau is full of people protecting basically nothing because they’ve already lost their purpose, and the deeproot depths below it are 75% of the reason why the lands between is a whole shit show. The Mountaintops are full of just dead giants and big ass hands. The only thing that even has color in the whole area is the Fire Giant and his simps. The haligtree is just miquella and malenias tree house which is ALSO fucked up and rotting all over the place because malenia SOMEHOW didnt figure out that miquella was gone. Literally the only somewhat normal people that arent trying to kill you are either other tarnished, or people that have died like 12 times already.

Ranni. Omfg. Literally the reason the lands between is the way it is, is 100% because of her. Like she started it. She set off the chain of events that not only led to godwyns dead body infecting the erdtree itself but the whole shattering of the elden ring, and the whole war as well. How people think shes the good guy in anyway, shape, or form is beyond me. I get that she didnt want to be a puppet for the greater will but she literally dragged all of the lands between down with her.

The frenzied flame destroying everything might as well happen because even being alive in the lands between is worse than anything the frenzied flame can do to you. You are doomed to never die in that hellscape while the scarlet rot will inevitably spread through all of the lands between. Why you rather die a painful death by the frenzied flame or live on among the scarlet rot and become… whatever the hell half of the shit in there even is.
