What’s a good weapon to use with a shield?

Right now I am using the fingerprint shield with a heavy godskin stitcher but I am only using it because it was the only weapon I had that could do damage while having my shield up and I was wondering if there were a good weapon for that. I am ng+2 so have a strength build with almost 70 int so if it can be inflicted with magic it would be great.
