Trying to remember a cafe
I’ve been trying to remember the name of a specific cafe in Edinburgh. I used to spend a fair amount of time there between around 2007 and 2011. I’m trying to remember the name of a cafe, which was on or near Nicholson Street. It has most likely closed as I can’t find any likely contenders on Google Maps.
It was great, not fancy, but offered excellent breakfast food. It must have been a lefty meeting place, based on the stuff on the walls, and the many copies of the Morning Star lying around. I have a dim memory of the interior being painted being yellow (though this is the thing I’m less sure on), and I definitely remember that you had to go upstairs from the main entrance. Other than that, the specifics are pretty vague. Any thoughts? My partner (who lived in Edinburgh in 2010-2016) has no recollection of it, so the main aim of the post is to reassure me of my sanity. Any thoughts?
Thanks!
