Gates focused deck, with some alternate win cons thrown in for variety. Would love feedback
So I've been out of Magic since 2012, and even then I was playing standard rather than commander. I'm new to the format, but I've been watching videos and talking to friends. All of this is to say that I'm very new, but trying to dip my toes into it. I stumbled upon this [[Child of Alara]] card which I thought was interesting since it at first seemed very counter productive to wipe your own board along with everyone else's, but after discovering Gates and [[Maze's End]] I started to wounder if I could throw together a fun deck that doesn't rely on board wipes so much as has it as insurance. I don't plan on wiping the board constantly, but would also enjoy the possible politicking that mechanic could involve. I also threw in some alternative win cons because I felt like relying solely on [[Maze's End]] might not be such a viable strategy, and some of them make use of the abilities of some of my Gates, such as [[Simic Ascendency]] using the counters from [[Basilisk Gate]] or [[Revel in Riches]] using the treasures from [[Heap Gate]].
Please find the deck link below. I'm sure the deck is a bit all over the place, but I'd love any feedback on how to tweak it further. My playgroup is mostly casual, just old buddies trying to have fun and interesting games. I'd like to keep the cost more or less where it is as I have access to a number of these cards, but I'm fine throwing in one or two more high value cards. Apologies if this isn't enough information to go on, I'm still getting used to how to format for this sub and r/magicTCG
