The practice of selling at the peak
I’m still fairly new at dynasty and have only been playing for a few years. What’s everyone’s strategy with selling players at their supposed “peak” value?
For example, I drafted Nabers in this rookie draft and told myself I would sell him if he ever reached WR1 status in year 1 as his value could not get any higher. He got to that point after his hot 3 game start, and I couldn’t bring myself to move off him as I thought he would give me 20 a game for 5+ years(yes I know this was dumb since he’s on the Giants). I thus missed a golden opportunity to dish him for Chase or Jettas + more.
I also drafted Bowers and the same opportunity may be presenting itself. He is insanely good, don’t get me wrong, but could his value ever get higher than what it is now as a borderline top 5 startup pick? I imagine that you could move him for McBride + a lot right now and who knows, McBride could have 10 TDs next year and be TE1 lol.
Would appreciate any advice on how to approach these situations or any players that have reached their “peak” value for all intents and purposes.
