Dreams about catfishing/disguise

For years now I’ve had dreams in different variations where I am “catfishing”. In the waking world, I am a cishet woman, but in these dreams I’m really often dressed as a man and terrified someone is going to find out I’m a woman. It’s never entirely clear WHY I decided to dress as a man in the first place, I just am, and usually I’m much more popular so I’m terrified of blowing my cover.

Please don’t try to explain this by something as basic as literal “do you want to be a man” because the answer is no, I do not.

Some of the dreams I’m found out and it ends up not entirely mattering, but others I just spend the entire anxiety dream so regretful that I’ve lied and trying to hide so no one finds out.
