(PS4) Doom Eternal Ancient Gods Purchased but doesn't work at all?

Short term work around.
Found a work around for this problem. On the Play Station Menu go to Doom Eternal and go down to open Game Menu and go down to add-ons. If there is a Battlemode file there 23 GB, download it (in my storage this appears as another copy of Doom Eternal and is much bigger than 23GB that it said it was while downloading, probably because Doom Eternal installs in two parts or something). You will then have two Doom Eternal icons on the Play Station Menu, the one that doesn't show a disc will allow you to play DLC but not Campaign and the opposite for the original icon.

The Problem
I own Doom Eternal on disk, just the regular version. I just purchased The Ancient Gods DLC (Add On) on the PlayStation store, no file downloaded nor is there an option to download a file. When I run Doom Eternal The Ancient Gods icon has a shopping cart next to it? I click the icon and an add pops up for the DLC with the options 'Go Now' or 'Close'. If I click 'Go Now' an error message comes up saying "This content cannot be selected at this time." I check the PS store at it says I have purchased the DLC (add on) yet no download option, nor does the DLC appear in my library of purchased items. I have restored my licences and restarted my PS4. WTF is going on?!
