2 year old huskies keep having accidents inside the house

Okay so I have two huskies both are 2 years old and arrived at 9-10 weeks old (a male and a female). The female is not spayed while the male was recently neutered about 1.5 months ago. Both are capable of holding it for 8+ hours as they do not pee in my room while I'm asleep (they actually let me know when they need to go outside when we are in my room).

However if the female is left unsupervised to roam around the house or if she is in her crate for long hours while I'm at work she will usually end up peeing on the floor or in her crate. i think this is her just being stubborn since she is capable of holding it and also letting me know she needs to go outside.

The male rarely has accidents but his main problem is that after 6+ hours in a crate he wants to get out and has gone as far as to chew his way out (he has left a huge hole in his crate door to where I no longer leave him in his crate for fearing of him choking himself to death while I'm at work). He will also lift his leg in his crate after 6+ hours. Outside the crate he's much better as he's free to roam the house and can be left alone for long periods of time without worrying about him but lately even after neutering he has been lifting his leg on the sofa, dining table, or even on my subwoofer. It happens all the time while I'm at work. I think this is mostly "marking" behavior on his part which should have stopped after he was neutered (he was much better potty trained as a puppy than he is now).

What can I do or is it simply just a couple of stubborn huskies that know better but simply refuse to follow the human rules?
