Jack Russell Excessive Thirst & Incontinence
I'm watching my mom's Jack Russell and I also have a Jack Russell. My mom's Jack Russell is shorter but much fatter than mine. Both the dogs are 4. I'm basically putting her JRT on a diet. However, even with more and longer walks and restricted food and water times, her dog has an insatiable thirst and even with less water, pees in the house. Often times it's near immediate after he consumes any water. He's potty trained, or so I thought.
I feel bad for him because I can only give him water when I have immediate availability to walk him for at least a half hour. But I have a job and hardwood floors. I can't just have giant puddles of piss all over my house. Even still, he cries and cries until I give him more water and if I give him 2 ounces, he pees 9.
I have him temporarily and our vet is pretty booked. I'm not sure what to do. Any advice?
