Change difficulty to tacticion mid game with friend?

Hello all,

I have started a game with a friend and we want to up the difficulty from classic. He was worried it would be too difficult but we are steamrolling through. I have the script extender installed. But nothing availed me there and I haven't been able to find anything anywhere else.

Anyone know of a way to do this?
