Where do get your pins?

I am very new to pin trading. I know that ebay and Amazon sell big lots of pins, but they seem to be mostly scrappers. I see lots of people on theses subs where they have a bunch to trade, just wondering where they got them if they are real and why if they bought them for full price, why are they wanting to trade? Is there a place you can get real pins, for less than the 5-10 dollars at Disney world, and then use them to trade? Or are people just buying scrappers for cheap, then trading for real at Disney?
