CoS Day 1 Stats

There’s just 20 minutes to go until the 24 hours for the “Day 1” Raid is up. Currently, here are the amount of teams per platform that have beaten P2 of the raid to claim the emblem:

  • 98 Teams on PC
  • 1 Team on PS4
  • 0 Teams on XB1

Everyone should be aware that for some reason, the only requirements to get the emblem was to beat P2, instead of every encounter in the first 24 hours, unlike SOTP, and PC players have been abusing a small number of checkpoints to defeat P2 and claim the emblem.

I do not believe that Bungie intended for a Raid LAIR to be so difficult that most couldn’t beat P1 of the boss. I understand what they are trying to do with the competitive level cap for World’s First, but the huge issue here is the humongous disadvantage that console players have to PC players. It’s obvious in every aspect of the game in terms of recoil, field of view, movement, aiming, etc. I don’t understand why cross save has not been implanted at least between PC and XBox, and why the mechanics of console have not been altered to compete with PC. No console team will ever have a chance at WF, and be limited to Day 1.

I think having 6 hours for raid prep was the wrong move as most people were so burnt out by the time they got into the raid it made it much harder to be excited and focus for a long period of time. If there is a level cap anyways, I don’t understand the 6 hour limit, or why the level cap was not removed after the WF clear.

I strongly believe Bungie need to make alterations to the game to make PC and Console more competitive with each other because it just doesn’t make for a good experience on days like these which was really hyped up by much of the community. I think it’s a really cool raid, but Day 1 had a lot more potential. I am not a believer in “just because someone spends a lot of time on something they deserve the reward” but a lot of people did spend hours prepping and playing for 30 hours straight, and to virtually be at such a disadvantage on console does not excite for future content.
