are vanguard operations dead?

hello new player here with about 30 hours and even though apparently no one else does, i actually really like this game and i’m ready to put a lot hours in BUT every time i tried finding a group for any vanguard operation there is not a single listing and when i create one no one joins. does anyone play this mode or should i try solo at least
