Am I Storing My Perfumes Wrong?
I bought Skinn by Titan Raw a little more than a year ago, and I’ve used about half the bottle. Recently, I noticed that the color has changed to a light yellow—it’s no longer transparent. I took the bottle to a Lifestyle store to confirm, and there’s a very noticeable difference. Unfortunately, the smell has also turned “eggy.”
I store the perfume in an iron almirah compartment. While the almirah is exposed to sunlight for about three hours daily, I’m confident that my perfumes remain in a dark place. I’ll attach a picture of a similar almirah to this post for reference. Almirah Image
Did my perfume go bad because of my storage method, or is it due to poor-quality ingredients?
I also have Versace Eros, which I bought three months ago for ₹9600 from a mall. I’m worried that it might go bad too. I was planning to build a collection, but now I’m unsure how to proceed if these perfumes won’t last for years.
