Fungus from haircut :(
My gf noticed some light red spots on my head a few days after my haircut. I went to a walk in clinic last night and they said it’s a form of tinea.
It’s super light, no scales, no itching, no raised bumps, slight green tinges under a black light, no hair loss. Anyways, she prescribed 2% ketoconazole shampoo twice a week.
Everywhere online I kept reading that oral medication was the only effective way but she said that I’m healthy and it’s not very bad so the shampoo will do the trick.
I’d really hate to need the oral medication too as it would be real bad timing for our vacation to Jamaica (no drinking and upset stomach).
Will the shampoo clear this up?
