What the heck is going on with recent updates????

I work for an MSP and we have had over 20 laptops completely fall apart after simply installing updates from install and update manager/ support assist. Issues will range from WiFi adapter failing , camera failure, device sluggishness to the point where it take 2 entire minutes to open a command prompt. This is all happening with brand New devices. Has anyone else witnessed this or do I have the worst luck ever?
