Inconsistency due to dart rotation: how can I fix this? [2/2]

I will post two videos in this subreddit one after the other. One video shows my throw, and the other video focuses on my grip, which I have questions about. This video is of my grip. See the other video in this subreddit for my throw.

I’ve been playing darts for several years. I always rotate the dart in my hand as I grip it. This feels natural to me and I can’t seem to change it—a fixed grip feels very unnatural and I just can’t make it work.

The problem? Rotating the dart causes me to grip it differently with each throw. This makes me very inconsistent. I can lose games with a 45 average, but also win games with a 75 average.

For example, last weekend I won with a 100+ average, then had a poor game, followed by an average game. The darts also land in the board differently each time. Sometimes they hang more, sometimes they’re more upright, or they lean left, right, or just straight.

It’s becoming very frustrating. I’m almost 100% certain that it’s caused by the dart rotation. What can I do? I throw with Winmau Stratos Dual Core 23 grams.
