My older brother will be typing this for me, as he was my trip sitter. Leading up to this trip, I had been skateboarding, fist-fighting up to six people daily, and heavily drinking. (We had a very rough upbringing.)
As usual, I came home from a fight, kicked in the door, and started instigating a fight with my family. They told me to go away as I sipped my 32 oz. I went to my room and smoked a large bowl of tobacco and weed mixed out of a water pipe. My family had grown tired of my outbursts and violent ways, so my mom knew my brother had great success with psychedelic drug therapy. She recommended I give it a try, suggesting I take a dose of DMT. It was worth a shot; nothing else had worked before in trying to change me or get me out of this phase. My brother came in and handed me a pipe containing DMT. I had heard of DMT but didn’t know much about its effects. I said okay and smoked the remainder of what was left in the vapor genie (most likely 10mg or less). It felt almost identical to MDMA—feeling extreme euphoria. I then asked for more, as I was feeling completely amazing. My brother brought in more, and I now know it was around 40mg. I took a very long, slow inhale.
I looked down at my hand holding the pipe, and reality felt as if it had turned into an animation. I held it in as long as I possibly could, exhaled, and, as instructed, took another long inhale from the pipe. As I exhaled the second hit, everything started vibrating intensely. I tried to smoke a third hit, but I could no longer see the pipe, so my brother held it up to my lips, and I inhaled another small amount. I then heard a high-pitched ringing in my ear, and everything violently vibrated, shaking my head. I could no longer see my brother or the pipe. I was then surrounded by a bunch of Tikis, and I felt my teeth disintegrate and turn into sand. With my eyes open, I saw a reflection of myself turn into a robot that started headbanging with violently flashing rainbow colors. Every time the robot would go down to headbang, I would snort a line of coke, and every time it would go up, I would smoke an entire cigarette.
I then watched as I rapidly aged into an old man until I was basically just bones. I lied back on my bed, and all of a sudden, two paramedics burst into my side door wearing all-white doctor scrubs. I couldn’t see their faces, and they didn’t want to step into my room. They were holding wires that were connecting to my body. One of the doctors was screaming at my brother, demanding to know why he had just killed me. My brother broke down crying, screaming, saying, "I didn’t mean to! I don’t know how this happened! I’ve given it to so many people!"
The doctors tried to resuscitate me, shocking me three times. On the third shock, I was ejected from my body. Time and space were no longer relevant as time had completely stopped. I turned around and saw my legs sitting on my bed. I was too scared to look at myself directly. I looked at my brother, and he was completely frozen with a screaming, crying expression on his face. I grabbed my remote and turned up the volume on my TV just to check if anything had changed. I opened up my sliding glass door and realized I could interact with objects normally, but time was still frozen. I was going to walk outside but got scared and realized I shouldn’t stray too far from my body. I turned around to see my body laying on my bed. I accepted my death but felt immense pain for my brother and mother, who would have to deal with such a mess. I was then sucked into a purple portal directly above me.
I woke up in an all-white room, lying on a table with two people that resembled the doctors trying to revive me. They appeared with black, gigantic goggles, wearing white scrubs. They looked similar to stereotypical grey aliens, except they appeared more human than alien. I looked down at my midsection/stomach area, and it had been popped open like a square panel. I felt extremely robotic and not like a human at all. One of the doctors was working on me, and the other was supervising. I telepathically spoke to the supervising doctor and asked him what was going on. “Am I dead?” He did a double take and was extremely confused as to how I had just spoken to him. He grabbed and shook the other doctor working on me to let him know that I had woken up. The doctor working on me got mad and pushed the other doctor, saying, "Can’t you see I’m working here?"
The supervising doctor exclaimed, “He’s awake!” They both looked down at me, and I asked them again telepathically, “What’s going on here? Am I dead?” The doctor working on me said, “Shh, I’ve seen this before!” They then transformed into my brother and mother and slowly backed out of the room. I proceeded to rip cables out of my body and went ballistic, upset that they had withheld all the information from me.
I was then shot back into my body on my bed and saw my brother telling me to just calm down and relax. I started pleading with my brother, begging him to help me, screaming that I didn’t want to go back. Another purple portal appeared above me and sucked me back in. I was then strapped into the bed I had been previously lying on. I woke up and heard voices on an intercom telling me to calm down and relax, that they were just trying to help me. I didn’t like this and was in complete denial. I started screaming to put me back on Earth! I wasn’t ready to leave my life behind. There were still things I wanted to do, and I couldn’t stand the thought of not saying goodbye to my family. The doctors walked back into the white room with their goggles and asked me if I really wanted to go back. I screamed at them, “Yes! Take me back!” They said, "Alright," as if something was left unfinished. A seal at the back of my head released, and I was shot through another purple portal.
The difference this time was that I was shot into space—no stars, no planets—just pure, utter blackness. I was rapidly spinning and became molecules. Literally, I became protons, electrons, and a nucleus. The thought crossed my mind that I had been imprisoned in this space for trillions and trillions of years—an infinite amount of time. A voice suddenly boomed through the cosmos and said my name, and I am convinced this voice was God or the Creator. He said my name and told me, “I need to show you something.” I fought it and told him, “No, I have to go back!” But he kept telling me he had to show me something first before he could do that. So I agreed, and all of a sudden, Earth appeared out of the vast space darkness. I was shot back to Earth at the speed of light.
I was shown multiple lives I’ve lived. A few include me living as an old man in a hospital with kids and a family. They were all holding my hand as I died. After this life, I was sucked into a different purple portal. I was then shown me in a car about to do a drive-by shooting, but before I could pull my gun out, I was shot a bunch of times in the chest. I slouched over in the car and watched all the bullet holes turn into beams of light. I died and felt my soul leave through the top of my head.
The next thing that happened was I was a kid in the 1950s, sitting at the dinner table with my father. He made an expression like, “Look at all this! Surprise!” All the walls then collapsed like a box. Behind the box were a bunch of cameras filming me. All of these lives that I had experienced happened so fast, I couldn’t react to them.
I was sucked into yet another purple portal, firing into Earth. When I reached Earth, I was put into a pregnant woman’s stomach. I was delivered and turned into a phoenix. Finally, I rose up.
Conclusion: I woke up from the trip, butt naked on the floor, and started screaming my loved ones' names. My soul and timeline were being stretched until my brother came in and made me smell lavender oil. The trip came to a screeching halt as I smelled it. I got into bed and thought about my traumatic experience. Every day since the time I smoked it, I experienced heavy PTSD and HPPD. I will never be the same. I can no longer smoke weed or take any psychedelic without having a similar experience. It made me quit all chemicals and substances for years, and I still suffer from derealization every day.
Final Thoughts: Do not ever try this chemical. Save it for when you die. If you really want to try this, please read into it. Seriously. This is not a joke. I cry all the time from this experience, and it’s been six years since smoking it.
Trip Sitter's POV: I gave him the pipe, he smoked it, and lay down on his bed. He instantly shot up and was surprised by the drug's effects. He got up, and his eyes were as big as dinner plates. He then took off all of his clothes and started screaming. He tackled me and hugged me as tight as he could. I peeled him off me and exited the room to grab lavender oil. I walked back into the room, and he was kneeling down, getting back up, while screaming, crying, and throwing up. I held the lavender oil up for him to smell, and he calmed down a lot. I put him into his bed and covered him with a blanket. He remained unconscious for the next 15 minutes.
