Exhaust fan with timer wiring.
My old exhaust fan with a timer tripped the fuse and stopped working. Thinking its the motor, I bought a new one. The new unit has a, T, L and N terminals and there is an 3&E existing cable.
In picture 1, I have tried connecting the blue into N, brown in L and yellow into T. This results in light being permanently on and fan not switching on.
In picture 2, it is blue into N, yellow into L and brown into T. This results in the light turning on/off in line with the main bathroom light switch. The fan still does not turn on.
What am I doing wrong? Is the fan the problem?
