[FO]Finished a Tatreez-inspired bookmark for my daughter’s birthday
I’m not 100% happy with my finishing, particularly the corners, but she’ll like it. I finished the edges with a nun stitch in black which I saw recommended by someone here on Reddit. I didn’t end up trimming the sides, but I did use it to hold the top and bottom edges and control how far down the fraying would go. It’s a nice stitch, but hell to do using black on black!
I wasn’t entirely successful at figuring out how to do the corners without adding a lot of bulk, so next time I’ll have to try something a little different.
(Ummm… pay no attention to the cat hair embellishments.)
Design is one of 6 Palestinian Bookmarks by Cliffside Stitches purchased on Etsy. Easy to follow design. Gorgeous, rich colors.
