Looking to exit the UK - Advice needed
Hi everyone... Got my own LTD company and contracting for the last 10 years in the UK. It seems that the UK is going down the drain slowly and after the PM's announcements i think i want to start exploring options to exit the UK.
I have got clients who are ok with me contracting with another entity from abroad and i also have dual citizenship.
Basically i am wondering how easy would it be to set up an LTD in Gibraltar, leave the UK (P85) and start working from abroad as the tax situation is much more favorable.
While doing that i want to keep my UK LTD just in case for a little while in case something comes up so work through there as well. Is this a good idea or maybe shut it down completely so i do not have any dealings with the tax man any more?
Has anyone achieved that?
What would the tax implications be? I can only assume i will be paying corp tax in the UK for the work done through the UK company - I do not want to pay a salary to my so i won't be running any payroll at all since i would have left the UK completely. Anything to consider there regarding tax residency tests?
