What happens now?

I say this as someone who is enjoying Concord quite a lot (put about 20 hours in since base game launched), but we all know that the recent news about the game's performance is not good.

All of the headlines are focused on the incredibly low steam numbers, and while I haven't experienced any real issues getting into matches quickly on PS5, I can't imagine this is a massive success story there either. It's clear that in terms of public opinion and discourse, Concord has not performed well.

We've all seen the trolls on this sub circling like vultures, delighting in Concord's lack of success, and also a lot of people getting overly defensive and responding with an equal lack of good faith.

We have to be realistic about what's happened.

As more reviews and articles come out for Concord, we might see some deserved praise for the game, but I can guarantee you that some positive word of mouth (if it comes) will not be enough to avert the current situation.

What we really need is a response from Firewalk/Sony and a real plan to deal with these issues.

I'm interested to hear from people who have given the game a fair shot - what do you think will happen next? I honestly feel baffled by all of this. I was excited for this game since it was announced because I've genuinely just gotten sick of all the big FPS on the market and was excited to try something new.

EDIT: Thanks to the many of you who have responded in a constructive and polite way, will reply more tomorrow but gna go play some concord :)
