Is matchmaking done on a hidden elo other than displayed?

Does anyone know if matchmaking is done by a number other than explicitly shown on your profile / post game screen?

I’ve noticed that despite my factions all being around 1200-1300 and playing them somewhat equally, for some reason whenever I play DAK its not uncommon to go against people or entire teams 1800+, and sometimes even 2000+

On the other hand, as any other faction, I have literally never seen anyone even 1600+ in all my games.
