I set boulder on CompWall
I am a Regional Headsetter at Urban Apes Berlin. I’m responsible for setting in all the gyms here in Berlin. You can ask me anything, but here is my last boulder, which I set before going on vacation to Spain!
I posted this on Instagram, and you can also follow me on my IG page:
“A few days ago, we completely reset the CompWall at the climbing gym Fhain, Urban Apes, Berlin, Germany. We set over 25 sport boulders with the idea of keeping them as simple as possible.
In the video, you can see one of the most challenging boulders, graded around 6c – 7a. Huge holds, reachy moves, but not a single bad hold. Come and try this masterpiece, along with many other routes prepared for you by our route setters!
The idea behind this boulder is a non-return, far-reaching move, after which you need to perform a lache. Then you have two options:
1. Use the first volume, stop your entire flow, and carefully climb to the top.
2. Skip the hold like I did in the video, then place your foot precisely, stop the swing, and take the top.
What do you think of this boulder? If you’ve climbed it and filmed yourself, tag me! I’ll definitely repost and evaluate your technique.”
P.S. You can also try to Guess the Grade 😉
