Stop Safely, Vehicle will shut down soon

Had our second “shutdown” event yesterday, in a 2024 with 400 miles on it. Luckily we were on a relatively calm city street instead of 3 miles further, when we would have been in a tunnel going across the Chesapeake Bay. Imagine your car dying in a tunnel with 3 grandkids in the back. If the hybrid Pacifica has been having this issue for years why hasn’t it been fixed? This was the first long distance trip we had taken where we used the gas engine significantly. At this point when we get it back we might be finding a different vehicle.
