So this is an interesting tidbit about the CDC guidelines...

So apparently the CDC is planning a review of the impact of the 2016 and revised 2022 opioid prescribing guidelines' impact on the entire chronic pain community (us, doctors, careers...the practice of pain management as a whole). It was "announced" very quietly this past Friday, and will be open for 30 days. Get your comments in everyone! They'll also be choosing 15 patients to interview in focus groups! Let's let them know just what destruction they've caused by "protecting us from ourselves"!

EDIT: We're having a very hard time finding a link to comment, or even the actual review document. They've made it unusually hard to find, and I'm not exactly sure why. I spent last night combing through the documents on current review, and from 2 different search angles. Today I'm going to try checking around with various friends who do advocacy work, to see if anyone has uncovered it.

In the meantime, this is the address you can send it to by snail mail. We only have until roughly January 15th max to get them in the mail if they're to make it to the OMB within the 30 day period.

CDC Desk Officer, Office of Management and Budget, 725 17th Street NW, Washington, DC 20503

EDIT 2

After some digging, it appears that the OMB didn't include a link to the comment page. Whether it was accidental or intentional is anyone's guess. Hopefully they get it fixed!!
