Update on Tony and his bulging eye

The surgeon just called. Tony needs to have surgery on his zygomatic salivary gland because it is not draining and that is causing facial swelling that’s pushing his eye out. It’s a risky surgery since their heads are so small so please keep thinking good thoughts! His sisters are very out of sorts without him and our house seems way too quiet without our little barking troublemaker.

We won’t get him home until tomorrow and he may not be able to blink for a while from post op swelling. They tried to manually drain it but they could not.

So TLDR if your babies eyes ever look weird: red, swollen, dilated etc- go to the vet right away. Eye stuff can become serious very quickly.
