Gurkha automatic vs Jimny

I have been planning a proper SUV since a year, I had other financial commitments, which will get resolved in the coming few months. This will be a secondary vehicle of mine, primarily being the brio for the city. This will come out of the house only during long drives or weekend drives. I specifically require a 4*4 since I’m planning a few overlanding trips( I have done a few before). Ruled out getting the thar, not a fan of it and its user base. Now, I ruled out Gurkha since it was a manual and I don’t want to get another manual in the house. Jimny was the only practical option for me. I’m 2025 force is going to release the updated Gurkha with an automatic. Few issues here: 1) how reliable will be their transmission 2) serviceability of this transmission 3) on road cost of this vehicle.
