Can You Be Against CUPW and Be Pro-Union?

I fully support strikes for workers who face terrible conditions and don’t make a living wage, especially those working for companies with record-breaking profits, like Amazon. Those workers absolutely deserve better pay and treatment.

But the Canada Post strike wasn’t that. Their workers already have a living wage and were demanding more while causing harm to the public. Their argument that causing harm proves they’re essential and deserve more doesn’t make sense. On top of that, they’re asking for more money from a company that’s already bleeding money, which only adds to the problem.

The moment you say you don’t support CUPW, they try to paint you as someone who’s against fair wages altogether. That’s not true. Strikes should focus on lifting up the working class, not making life harder for others while asking for extra benefits you already have. Workers at companies raking in massive profits but refusing to pay fair wages deserve support. Let’s stand with those who truly need it.
