I never thought it’d happen to me...
....well, yeah I did. Just didn’t think it’d take this long.
Fri. March 5: Allergy-like sniffles. Weather apps exploding with allergy warnings, tis the season.
Mar. 6: More sniffle, slight cough. Go allergy meds, go!
Mar. 7: Sinusitis in full bloom. Cough, slightly running nose.
Mar. 8: Just like Mar. 7. Now the wife has the sinusitis. Not at all unusual.
Mar. 9: Wife gets tested after having enough. Positive. Calls me to come home from work. I report directly to urgent care. Positive. No instructions from urgent care docs. Just “Check your app for test results.”. Fever kicks up for both of us.
Mar. 10/11. Achy skin and joints, fever between 100f and 103f. Pushing liquids. My taste is slightly muted.
I work at a school where kids don’t have to wear masks. I’m honestly surprised it took almost the full year to get it.
