Condom issues

Recently I went on a date with a guy. I really like we talked about intimacy, and I told him that I will be using condoms with anyone I am with and until I’m ready to pop out children or unless I’m engaged/married! Do you think that’s reasonable? I’m also allergic to most hormonal. Birth control and IUD are extremely painful for me. Do you think my request is unreasonable? I told him that he should be ready to handle being a father if that was the case and we went down there and I got pregnant. He went bananas and told me I was being unreasonable, but he won’t answer me if you would be responsible and take up the reins of being a father if I got pregnant!
