Wiim mini not working in HK receiver, what’s wrong?

Hey all, I got Wiim mini that I’ve been using on my edifiers, which is fine but I got a Harmon kardon avr 2650 and Polk bookshelf’s with banana cables, I use the optical cable from the Wiim to the HK and I’m getting no audio, no matter the source… the HK works fine with vinyl records but not this… the Edifiers are better than nothing but it could be better with what I have, any help is appreciated

If the answer is in my face I apologize, I’m new to this… do I need RCAs instead to go into the receiver?
