Queen Charlotte: A masterpiece

I started watching Queen Charlotte a few days ago and promptly rewatched it when I was done. It is soooo good! Their love story is so beautiful! This story has really stayed with me and it’s made me want to rewatch the entire bridgerton series again although this one is 100% my favorite! Some thoughts:

The scene was George confesses his love for Charlotte is amazing! It’s just so beautiful! MY HEART CALLS YOUR NAME!!!! Ugh. I’ve rewatched it a few times now. Who writes these bridgerton men?!?! Seriously.

Brimsley and Reynolds. I loved them of course! I loved how their relationship paralleled Charlotte and George’s relationship. I wish we could have seen them together in the end or they could have stayed together.

Also, the scene where Reynolds tries to tell Charlotte that the king has good days and bad days was so real. If you’ve ever loved or been close to someone with a severe mental illness you know it can be so frustrating when people catch them on a good day or good moment and think somehow they’re not or no longer ill.

Lady Danbury and Ledger. I’m sorry but I was not into it. I wish we could have seen her have a proper fling with some young hot aristocrat, not violet’s dad. Don’t get me wrong I did love his character, he was so good with violet. Obviously very sweet and warm, I was just not feeling them together.

Honorable mention for Violet and Coral. I loved both of their characters.

I also loved that they chose an actress for Charlotte that has Afro hair and that they styled it in such regal ways! I loved all of her hair styles!

I also loved the scene where Charlotte is in labor. I gave birth a few weeks ago myself so I think that’s why lol

I loved the fact that the very first episode ends with Charlotte saying she should have gone over the wall and the last episode ends with her telling George that she in fact did not go over the wall. 💗
