Why is this cast afraid of Mary?

I think it was courageous for both Mary and Angie to have been vulnerable but they all seem so afraid of Mary. The rest of them speak horribly when calling one another out, but never to Mary. They can have empathy for her, that's fine, but no one calls her out for her really unsettling behavior and hateful talk. I remember in earlier seasons she made racist statements about Mexicans and Asians, for example. Angie accepted being talked to like a dog just bc she showed some empathy for Britani. Mary's behavior was uncalled for, abandonment issues notwithstanding. (tbh I do not like Angie or Britani) If she is a church leader? spiritualist? bishop? pastor? reverend? grown woman? or whatever.. she should be able to do better Or at the LEAST apologize and be accountable, one time anyway in 4 or 5 seasons.
