Does changing bowling style mean I have to plug and redrill?

I used my old ball and bowled a few times for the pro shop guy to mark it to drill my old ball, but I bowled a bit straight as my form broke a bit and one shot I dropped the ball, and afterwards he marked it. Will it be ok if I have more axis rotation and more revs with the same drill or is it bad? Will there be less hook due to the straighter oil streaks on the ball leading to a less hooking drill?
