I need to know

I've been slowly playing through the game. Currently on chapter 3. And all English text feels really weird, sometimes it feels like I'm having a stroke, I understand everything but the wording is so strange sometimes. Is it just my problem, seeing as English is not my native language (never had any problems like this with any other game or book) or is the translation just wierd sometimes? It's not a critique by any means, I just need to know.
