Should I just stop passing the ball so much?

Played a higher division last year, averaging 23 ppg. This year, I've focused on improving my all-around game, since starting to also play soccer inspired my off-ball movement and emphasizing team play. My scoring is down (averaging under 4 ppg), but my assists are up (10+), and I'm playing good defense.

However, the coach and some teammates seem to value scoring above all else. I'm constantly being criticized for "not scoring enough" and getting limited playing time.

Like am I truly trash to prioritize team success and play a selfless, facilitating role? Or am I wasting my talent by not focusing on scoring? I am not that tall but extraordinary fast and strong and can get to the rim if I want to. Because at this point I got a game tommorow and I am thinking about not passing the ball (much).
