Birth control and bartholin cyst

I’ve been on birth control for 4 years now (patch) and I’ve had my cyst for a year, got a marsuplisation. I put my birth control patch back on. Is there a correlation between birth control and bartholin cysts? I’ve seen people talk about hormones causing their cysts, and I’m still not sure what caused mine.
