Is modding worth the performance trade off?

I’m really wanting to buy this game now after watching and reading all about this game, I was wondering if mods alone are worth the performance trade off between Ps5 and Steam Deck. Or does the Steam Deck handle this game well? Thanks in advance, can’t wait to play!
